Lush Fresh Face Mask

I thought I'd do a review on a product I have been loving- the fresh face masks from Lush.  For those of you who don't know Lush fresh face masks are exactly that- FRESH. They are made weekly by the lush team from natural ingredients such as fruit, veg and essential oils, all are preservative free. As the mask contains fresh ingredients they can only be bought in store as they need to be refrigerated. The mask has a shelf life or should I say fridge life of around one month. Each pot contains 75g of product I get approx five or six masks from each tub.

The one I have tried most recently is 'Catastrophe Cosmetic', it claims to prevent catastrophes by gently cleansing and soothing the skin. The ingredients include blueberries, chamomile, irish moss and calamine which combined together is rich in anti-oxidants and calming properties. I am currently struggling with my skin, I have never had perfect skin and during my teenage years I was prone to a spot or two. However being 23 I thought my days of greasy troublesome skin were behind me, boy was I wrong. I have developed adult acne and am currently on the hunt for a cure (any suggestions are welcome). So this is what led me into Lush and straight for the face masks. I described my skin and its issues to the girl that worked there and we agreed this seemed like the best choice.
There I am (looking great) with my last face mask from this pot. I got five uses out of it but still had some to spare but the sell by date was up. The directions for use are as follows: take out of the fridge, apply a generous layer onto the face, leave on for 5-10 mins, then rinse with warm water. After five uses I cannot say I have noticed a dramatic difference in my skin however for the few hours straight after you wash it off my skin did appear less red and blotchy. My skin felt really clean and deep cleansed, I felt really refreshed going to sleep but it was also a great base for foundation as it smoothed out the surface of your skin. I think its a great product, I love that its natural with no preservatives as my skin is overloaded with chemicals from moisturiser, fake tan, make up etc. Overall it has been a success and I will be purchasing this product again.
                                                         Bye guys Claire xoxo
